172 Mornings in 2020 at Surf Beach, Phillip Island

Back in March 2020, when the world went crazy with Covid19, I found myself working from home for what became the remainder of the year. This really wasn’t a hardship given the stunning location where I live; a place that continues to inspire me everyday with its beauty!

By the time May rolled around, I decided to embark on a project that would involve taking a single photo in the same location, at approximately the same time each day for the remainder of the year. That location was half way down the stairs at Crazy Birds (Surf Beach), with the intention being to attempt to capture the everchanging beach landscape and just how wonderful it was to spend even just a short time each morning in such a meditative place.

This video is my daily picture project; it’s a bit over 5 mins which I hope isn’t too long for you!

Luckily for you I missed quite a few days as the world opened up again, so there are only 172 mornings out of a possible 219 from May through until December 🙂
