Berit’s Buckets
In the Gallery in May we featured a collection called “Berit’s Buckets”.
Berit Jansen’s Bucket Series emerged from a deeply personal creative shift, sparked when chronic MS made her long‑loved craft practices difficult and artist‑teacher Stacey Shine introduced her to digital art.
What began as gentle experiments on the Cowes shoreline grew into rich studio collaborations, where Berit used colour, texture and movement to express emotions she could no longer easily articulate.
From overflowing buckets in stormy rain to peaceful, blooming and creative worlds, the works became a visual diary of resilience, imagination and the therapeutic power of art — which was celebrated with a short exhibition at my gallery, being used to mark Berit’s upcoming move from Phillip Island to Western Australia.
The works were on display from 21st to 25th May 2026.
